Connect airports, city districts, meetings and onward travel with a plan that accounts for the walking, waiting and return journey too.
Dubai’s official tourism guide describes metro, buses, tram, taxi and marine options. Start with its current transport information, then check the walking access, interchange and operating times for the route you need.
A nearby station on a map may not be near the correct building entrance. Work from complete addresses and verify the last part of the journey, especially with luggage or mobility equipment.
Decide your first airport transfer before departure. For a booked car, confirm the meeting point, waiting allowance and process for a delay. For public transport, check the current airport connection and onward route rather than relying on an old timetable.
Build important appointments backwards from when you must be inside. Parking, unloading and building access sit outside the vehicle’s travel estimate.
Use taxis for individual journeys, private cars for an agreed transfer and rentals when the wider itinerary justifies responsibility for a vehicle. Compare entire-day costs and coordination, not only one ride.
For travel to Abu Dhabi or another emirate, confirm both directions. Keep local travel and inter-emirate arrangements distinct, and avoid presenting a navigation estimate as a guaranteed arrival time.
GOOD QUESTIONS
Not necessarily. A combination can fit your destinations, party and luggage better than committing to a single mode.
